CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Kathleen awoke as the first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains. Strong arms encircled her midriff and pulled her against a rock hard, male body. She felt something hard probing her bottom. All the marvelous sensations she’d felt the night before, came rushing back. Andrew moved, so he had awakened as well.

He huskily whispered in her ear, “Good morning, dearheart. Roll over, I want to give you a kiss.”

Keeping her eyes tightly closed, too embarrassed to meet his gaze, she turned toward him, and he captured her mouth in a kiss that left her reeling. His hands roamed along her back as he pulled her closer. Suddenly, she realized her gown was around her waist, and his bare skin pressed against hers.

He murmured, “I don’t think we need this anymore,” and he lifted her night rail, pulled it over her head, and dropped it on the Aubusson carpet. Her heart pounded as he licked his way to her nipple and gently suckled it. Incredible tingles flitted across her skin.

He lazily nibbled his way to her belly, stopping to swirl his tongue around her navel, and then he moved lower. Surely, he would stop? Then he nuzzled her curls and licked across something that caused flames to burn a path to the very core of her being. She gasped as he probed her flesh. His fingers spread her folds to give him better access. Each stroke, each touch, escalated the pinpricks of sensation, sensations beyond anything she’d ever thought possible. Her body tingled everywhere, even the tips of her fingers. Her heart pounded and her breath caught with every swipe of his tongue. Pleasure raced through her as he sucked on that part of her she’d had no idea was so sensitive. Glorious sensations sent her flying so high she felt as if she could touch the sky.

Grinning at her, he crawled up her body and slid between her thighs, entering her in one swift thrust. She’d expected pain again. While she did feel unbelievably full, she felt pleasure coursing through her veins as he began to stroke in and out of her body. She wrapped her hands around his back, raking her nails down it, reveling in the feel and the clean, sweaty scent of her husband. His firm, vigorous thrusts sent gooseflesh dancing along her inner thighs. Her breath came in short pants as he increased the pace.

Andrew groaned, then stiffened as something warm flooded her body. He rolled to his side, pulling her with him. He exhaled deeply and murmured, “Now, what a marvelous way to greet the day.” Then in a voice filled with remorse, he said, “I probably should have refrained from making love to you this morning. You’re bound to be sore.”

“Not at all. It felt marvelous,” she softly whispered. “I never realized making love would be so intense and fulfilling.”

He lifted her chin and looked into her eyes. “It’s never been this intense before you.” Then gathering her close, he rained soft butterfly kisses all over her face.
